Multi Species Cover Cropping

After the devastating drought, we took the chance on the first rain to plant a cover crop. This is the first of six paddocks we planted with a 21 species crop of summer and winter plant varieties which should take us through to spring. We planted this seed mix with BIOCAST as a seed coat and dynamic lifter as a starter fertiliser.

As you can see in the photos the growth is outstanding and we are thrilled with the results in the short season that we have had. With frosts just around the corner the oats, clovers and other winter species will take over and maintain growth and diversity over the winter.
